When will Tudor stop making LHD Pelagos, your thoughts???

I know its not a limited edition watch, but rather reduced production and each is individually numbered.

Did the LHD version start in 2016? Please correct me if I am wrong.

Curious what others think regarding how long this specific model will live on until discontinued.

Also, does anyone think it could command a premium long term if the run is cut short compared to the regular Pelagos versions?

I hope they make for at least a couple more years as its a great watch.

Thanks.

To be honest, given the fact that the Black Bay Harrods edition was supposed to be a much more exclusive model than it now has turned out to be, I don't think that this one will be discontinued either if it keeps selling well (whether it is or not I have no idea).

I do personally hope that they don't discontinue it, or at least for a few more years, since its truly one of the most unique watches that Tudor produces and to me really symbolizes the uniqueness of modern Tudor.

TP LHD Start year of production: yes, 2016.
-It’s not Tudor’s most popular seller however one of its best functional diving tool.
-I don’t think this one in particular would go out of production for the sort run (it is like for Tudor like Rolex’s SD).
-Premium price after being discontinued: I would say yes considering it’s Tudor’s “SeaDweller”, functionally and style wise (scape valve, red liner with crown on the left which makes it a more unique piece).
-It’s truly a winner time piece considering all these elements, however, its potential “out of production” premium price might be comparable at the beginning with that of an out of production BB Tudor rose-happy face dial (even if it houses and ETA movement) and its stronger competitor, the “BB Kermit”.
-Current lowest price in C24 for a new full set LHD: 3500$ Vs it’s original retail price at any AD in America once released: 4000$ aprox., with a 5% discount tops I recall well.

I agree that the LHD is one of Tudor’s diver models which shouldn’t be discontinued.

Cheers

Damn good question[s]. Not sure when it was released. But it's unique features, LHD crown, cream patina, red print dial, and roulette date wheel, should cement it's future demand if the production ceases.

I hope they don't. I wear my watch in the right. And there aren't too many left crown watches out there.

In fact, I wish they would perhaps consider offering it in just the simple white text/markers (like the current right crown one). I'm very boring when it comes to watches.

Quick someone order a new one and tell us what number it is! OP I didn’t know all of the unique characteristics associated with this model - seems like Rolex has plans for it

There is another thread already here where people list their numbers btw - seems like about 10,000 pieces - Omega LE are more limited than that :)

Cool. Can you post a link to that thread? Maybe I'm not keyword searching it correctly.

Tks Luke!!!

Relative to other models I'd venture to say that 10k is still low in the long run.

I remember when everyone was saying the LHD was going to be discontinued at serial 1,000. Everyone was so sure of it. What are they up to now? 10,000+?

Dan,
Totally agree with your strikeout statement! ... I forgot to agree with you on my first thoughts but I recall someone did have described more specs of the LHD... however, the one thing about this watch alike to the bb58, is that I really don’t appreciate that kind of homage vintage looks that Tudor wanted to print on these 2 pieces (much more on the 58). It o don’t see find in some how any bit of a heritage looks into the Pelagus LHD, much less on its predecessor.
Hope my opinions are not that far from some truth or justice within this forum...

Cheers!

Check on some Panerai LH if you kind of fancy the brand and unique looks... I in fact enjoy them a lot together with Tudor and Rolex... so basically I would totally incline to heritage hault horlogerie in these 3 brands and yet looking for that grail Rolex which definitely would be a vintage Subby with patina or any unique-rare adds by timing to the dial/hour markers and maybe bezel... any thoughts?

Cheers!

Just throwing my update in here. I ordered one here in the UK 2nd week of January (was showing availability on the AD's website)...
It still hasn't arrived and the AD doesn't have a confirmed date.

Perhaps they are stopping the run??

LHD is one hell of a watch. It is so comfortable and light and the bracelet is every bit as good as any Rolex diver.

Lhd seem very scarce at the moment. I wonder if it’s shortage of parts, or limiting supply, discontinuing, or updating model. 🤔

I keep checking in with 3 AD's in London... none of them have seen any in months and no idea when and if they will be getting more.
