I went with 36 on my yellow OP and I love it.
Most my other watches are 40mm (daytona, Pepsi, etc).

I just can't help but feel for the type of watch the DD is, a mix between sporty and dressy (to my anyway), 36 may be the sweet spot.
Doesn't hurt that I have puny wrists

Yeah my op and dj are 36s. I got the 40 because I wanted the metal to be plat as it was big wedding anniversary and our rings are platinum.

With a 6.5 inch “small” 40mm watches are fine. The dd is actually a tad smaller than 39mm. Also with the smooth bezel it looks more sporty than the normal dd40.

All that said it’s stupid heavy and I think I’d prefer the 36.
