Is a 14060 4 liner modern, vintage or in-between?

Thinking about getting a 14060 4 liner. But have not decided. It typically takes me a long time to decide on a new watch.

Is a 14060 4 liner a modern Rolex? Vintage? Or somewhere in between, say quasi-vintage?

Personally, I think it is quasi-vintage.

I’ll bite. I think quasi-vintage is the best description. Older style case, lug holes, but with modern tech like parachrom blue hairspring in the late G and Random serials.

Fantastic watch, get it!

The newer ones are only a little over 10 years old so that's hardly vintage. But they have styling that dates back 30-40 years. I think of them as "Classic Rolex", since professional Rolexes all looked more or less the same for 30-40 years before the big updates of 2008-2011. Vintage for me would any sub without gold surrounds.

I think the 2 liner would be more Neo-vintage, but I guess the same applies to the 4 liner.

If they’re vintage, I’m ancient.

You’re not ancient, you’re neovintage.

4-liner is a long ways away from a "vintage" description...any 2-liners with tritium would qualify for "neo vintage."

Indeed.

A 4 line 5512 would be vintage.

It would be hard to say that any 14060M would be a vintage piece, yet.

With the 3130 powering it, I would be hard pressed to call a 14060 with any number of lines “vintage”
