Thank you for all the friendly comments guys.

The story behind it is quite complicated; what would you expect for a watch that has been hard to become since its release in the late 80s.

I already owned the 116520 with steel bezel, purchased in 2011 from AD (Yeah that was still possible in those days..)

When the ceramic bezel was released in 2016, it was clear to me that sooner or later I wanted to own one, not as an investment (I am not interested in watch investments), but for daily wear. The ceramice bezel basically is a small detail, but it is IMHO a complete game changer because of the new feel and look of the Daytona. Some prefer the steel bezel, I was immediately taken by the ceramic one.

Two years ago I REALLY wanted one. So I decided to go grey because life is too short for a long and unsure wait. I purchased one, new and unworn for 25k, which seems a quite reasonable price today....

14 months later I was offered to get the white one (which was actually not on my radar), and I could manage to make a reasonable deal with my 116520 which has also dramatically increased in price.

Well, and know I am done (at least for the moment, haha..)

Have a great day all,

Tom

I think I actually prefer the Black Dial, but it’s close (51/49) … but since I already have a Black Dial Submariner, I am “Waitlisting” for the White Dial.

I like your solution to the which is better debate … get both !!!

You have the yin and yang sir! Lookin good! I would probably wear the black at night/dinners/parties, etc. and the white during the day/work/vacation.

Reverse the black and white for night and day, and I'd actually consider wearing that eccentric piece.

I actually prefer the black. I think the white is way over hypered, but to each their own.

I prefer the white 116500 but the black 116520. Anyone else?
