Vanguard straps. About half the cost of RubberB and Everest plus they didn't have the camo. Feels quality.

Calls social media “so called social media”. No mate it’s actually called social media, I could Google cut and paste it here for you but tbh cba.

Some guy stuck in his ways and only sees his viewpoint in life.

Actually being a participating member here for many years is in fact akin to participating in social media.

So yeah this forum is so called social media. Lol. And I agree condescending posts have no place here. But it is rampant on social media so I guess par for the course.

It's gotten beyond old. His attitude he takes with almost anything that isn't comparing the dust particles in the patina of a 4 digit Submariner is quite annoying. Yes, not everything or everyone will go along with how you perceive discussions should revolve around. Your post is spot on. He's the only one on the forum that beckons the phrase "Ok boomer."

Like it or not, it does make referencing a model easier than a number, imagine if we all went by our social security numbers instead of silly names.
I’ll tell you I’m never going to learn all these reference numbers. I’m not going to try either. Heck I don’t even know my wife’s cell phone number I just click “wife”on the cell phone. I guess we could use terms like=

Green ceramic submariner
Green aluminum submariner
Blue and red GMT
Blue and black GMT
Date just is easy
Day date is easy

The only Smurf I know about was a Belgian comic and television franchise centred on a fictional colony of small blue creatures who live in mushroom-shaped houses in the forest. The Smurfs was first created and introduced as a series of comic characters by the Belgian comics artist Peyo (pen name of Pierre Culliford) in 1958, where they were known as Les Schtroumpfs. There are more than one hundred Smurf characters, and their names are based on adjectives that emphasise their characteristics, such as "Jokey Smurf", who likes to play practical jokes on his fellow smurfs. "Smurfette" was the first female Smurf to be introduced in the series. The Smurfs wear Phrygian caps, which came to represent freedom during the modern era.

The word “Smurf” is the original Dutch translation of the French "Schtroumpf", which, according to Peyo, is a word invented during a meal with fellow cartoonist André Franquin, when he could not remember the word salt.[3]

The Smurfs franchise began as a comic and expanded into advertising, films, TV series, ice cascades, video games, theme parks, and dolls and now silly names for Rolex watches. The Smurfs fulfil simple archetypes of everyday people: "Lazy Smurf", "Grouchy Smurf", "Brainy Smurf", and so on. All Smurfs, with the exception of Papa, Baby, Smurfette, Nanny and Grandpa, are said to be 100 years old. There were originally 99 Smurfs, but this number increased as new Smurf characters appeared, such as Sassette and Nanny. All of the original Smurfs were male; later female additions are Smurfette and Sassette—Smurfette being Gargamel's creation, while Sassette was created by the Smurflings but as far as I know none wear Smurf Rolex watches.
A fantastic reply to those who insist on calling a watch by a stupid nickname.

I’m not a big poster, but for what it’s worth I also don’t understand his constant beef. If you don’t like what’s discussed on the forum (prices, investment etc) - that’s just a sign the forum is not for you. It’s like putting on an album and complaining about the music - if you don’t like it, don’t play it. Sorry if you think it all used to be better - I feel the same about music.
