The PAM 670 “Equation of Time” is probably one of the most beautiful pieces ever made by Panerai. From the breathtaking blue sunburst dial, to the elegant yet comfortable matching blue leather strap, this watch then goes above and beyond by offering an ample number of complications for the global traveler to the casual watch lover. Not only does this watch have an 8-day power reserve (and indicator), but it also has a month & day indicator, AM/PM indicator, a 2nd hour hand to track a second time zone or GMT, and lastly, an “Equation of Time” indicator that measures the difference between the indicated time on the watch and real solar time. For those that don’t know, solar time “varies every day owing to the eccentricity of the Earth’s orbit and the inclination of its axis. On four days a year, these two times coincide perfectly, but on all the other days they differ by up to about 15 minutes, either forwards or backwards” – Panerai.

Powering the timepiece is the Panerai Caliber P.2002 movement which beats at 28,800 vph and contains 31 jewels. Kit comes with the watch, inner/outer box, manual, warranty pamphlet with dated warranty paper (Dated 2018), hang tag, barcodes, Panerai strap tool, and both blue OEM leather & rubber straps.

Condition

Mechanically the watch is running well with no issues. The crystal is nearly perfect with only 1 tiny mark near the 6 o’clock position on the edge of the glass. The case is in mostly great condition as well with your typical wear on the lugs from strap changes, on the polished bezel ring, and minor normal wear around the case but no deep scratches, or dents. There is also a tiny blemish on the polished bezel near the 6 o’clock position.

Both straps are in perfect condition with no tears or stretch wear on the holes. There are minor wear marks on the buckle. None of the wear on the watch detracts from the sheer beauty of the piece and I personally would not bother polishing the watch at this time. Harsher lighting was used on the closeups to better see the wear marks.
