Rolex OysterQuartz

I found a write up on-line that Rolex only made around 25,000 OysterQuartz in total. The DD has various combinations and the dateJust having even fewer.

But does anyone have info on how many of each DD configuration were made?

Would Rolex have the info ?

I’m a fan of the OQ’s but I can’t answer your question with numbers.
However here’s a long OQ conversation from here that has additional sub-links that may be helpful in your quest.

I think I read 5000 day-dates somewhere, then probably 1/4 of those are white-gold.

My guess is the 19018 is the most common, and the most rare non-gemset models would be the 19019N, then the 19028 pyramid. Also the 19018N being more rare than the 19018.

I've owned an OQ for almost 40 years and can pick them out of a crowded room anywhere. I have never seen a 19019 in the wild in my life. My guess is that maybe 5-10% were WG.

Awesome! Just realized I've had my OQ 17000 for 10 years now. It was the first vintage watch I bought, and it's never failed to get wrist time. They should be mandatory.

How time flies!

Rolex will never release production numbers. Anything you hear is purely speculation
