So I'm about to drop it off at the local RSC here in L.A. I will tell them not to replace the dial.

How about polishing? Leave it original? Or do it? Does it 'stressed' the band?

Thank you

Didn’t read the whole thread, but I remember a similar post from about 3-4 years ago where a guy bought this same model for both him and his dad….his dad was a sunbather, he was not. About 5 years later the dads watch looked the same as OP.

I think it’s real fade here, and I think it has something to do with the factory application of paint on the dial.

Damn, that’s a Milgauss I actually dig. Wonder what would cause the fading.

I was wondering that myself. Don't really see that kind of even fading on other black dials. Wonder if it has something to do with whatever they make the "antimagnetic shield" portion out of? It's really the only big difference between it and other Rolexes.

Very interesting! Being a z-blue owner, I cant help but to wonder if the blue dial might morph into a new shade over time, given extensive exposure to UV rays...

I think there was another post on here where something similar happened to another black dial milgauss…
