1989 Rolex Submariner 16610 back from service query
Just got my watch back from service and was expecting it to be regulated to -2 to +2 seconds a day. It's running at +6 seconds a day which I'm a little disappointed with. Am I expecting too much from a 30+ year old movement, or once fully stripped and rebuilt should it have been a little better?

That's ok. Back in '89 they were COSC certified to +6/-4 so officially you're good. Leave it resting crown-up overnight and it'll probably do better.

Quote:
The Rolex after-sales rate tolerance for your 3135 caliber is -1/+3 sec/day. This is an average of 5 positions measured (with a timegrapher) after full movement winding. |
