DSSD JC UK got the call question
Got call UK DSSD JC, 126 model not the new 136 model…is this still difficult to get in UK as been waiting a while to purchase…? Is there much difference between the 126 and 136…? Do I take the 126 or wait for the 136…? Which is the preferred model with reasons please…?

I haven’t seen the 13 in person, but I’d say the 12 is perfection

…I have the 12. I understand the differences are negligible but if I was buying today, I would like the 13.

I would probably want the newer model if I could get it.

Looks like the 13 lost extension link, slimmer bezel, more crystal on show and chamfered into the bezel, AR coating on crystal, bigger date window, RLX titanium…haven’t seen the 13 yet so can’t see if the crystal sits higher on the bezel with chamfer. I like the way the crystal is flush with bezel on previous version and flush with the bezel with no chamfer edge sitting above the bezel…anyone seen how crystal sits on the 13…?

As far as I am aware no 13’s have landed at UK ADs.
I would probably go for the 12.

Without ever handling the 13 I would get the 12. The changes do not add up to a lot for me and the 12 is great.

Picked up this week, dealers remove stickers and not keen to give out the bezel guard that comes with transit coffin box…trying to deter the flippers I guess…or Rolex adding some input into the sales process in the UK…

Also there's a 136660 thread somewhere around here on the forum The preference of the individuals are going to be very diverse for a whole host of reasons because each new reference of the DSSD has evolved fairly significantly from the one that proceeded it. If you ask me. I will go to my grave recommending the 116660 above the 126 and 136 for a whole grab bag of reasons. Others will disagree If it's a JC that you are actually after? Then i would take the one on offer and live with it without doubting anything. From there you can trade, but a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush in the current market. It's the full fat version, even if the new reference gives you pretty much all that is usefull in a wrist watch in that class. I think the AR coating on the inside of the crystal of the 136 is going to be really great Have you looked for a good 116660? You could save some money and still get the full fat experience Maybe you will end up collecting every JC reference? |

The AR coating on the 136660 makes a profound difference from what one can see in the review video When some people are removing the extention from the bracelet to get a better fit, it sort of makes it a redundant feature unless one is using it If I were ever in the market for something with the new movement, I would probably go for the 136660 and never look back. |
