It’s all a personal preference, naturally, however I have a black 15500, and it goes with every outfit in any setting, whether formal or casual. My original preference was the blue dial, however that’s far too difficult to obtain at retail. Having lived with the black dial for a while, I’d comfortably say that the black dial is now my preferred colour, and I prefer the 15500 over the new 15510, having compared the two side by side, and ignoring secondary market values. The blue dial is what every man and his dog is after, but I’ve since seen the blue dial in the flesh, and I prefer the black. At the end of the day, you will become attached to whichever reference you end up purchasing.

As I said, every person’s preference is personal, and your wants/needs will depend on a multitude of factors, including wrist size, skin tone, and how a new dial colour might fit in with your existing collection. Only you can answer that question…
