I'm running around anyway today in the general vicinity of an AD. Thinking maybe just drop it off while I'm out there. My ADs are not close anymore since they continue to drop like flies. This one is >1 hour away.

Hi there, my 2018 DJ 41 suddenly started loosing time few months ago. Happed suddenly after being dead on.
I decided to ship it to Dallas RSC end of June thinking I got impacted by well known 3235 issue. After 6 weeks I got a call that the watch has been fully serviced and fixed. Asked rsc rep about what was the issue and she told me that watchmaker left a note "impulse pin was dirty". I'm not a professional, can somebody explain what it means and could it happen ? Doesn't seem sound like a well known 3235 problem. |

Don't over think it and enjoy the watch as it is. You know what the warranty is for. As far as the impulse pin being dirty. Who knows? But dirty movements in one way or another has always been a standard thing. Especially Automatics when they have dried out lubes and fine metal dust accumulating. On the balance of probability, your 3235 was probably aflicted with the well known problem and they will tell you anything other than the absolute truth but that it was in need of a service will generally cover it because of dirtiness for the layman. Was it covered under warranty? It should have been covered Especially as Rolex advocates 10 year service intervals with a cleverly crafted caveat thrown in for good measure As much as I hate to admit it. It almost sounds like Rolex should discount their watch to fund a Timegrapher purchase to measure amplitude with every new 32xx movement watch. That way an owner can check the health of their watch for themselves before Rolex has an opportunity to pull a swifty over these 32xx movements. Dirty Impulse pin. I like that |

You can see the impulse pin on the far left of this graphic. It’s the nub that goes into the lever to knock it back and forth (this isn’t a Rolex Chronergy escapement, but similar idea.) |

Almost 2.5 years with my SD43 and what I’ve noticed after that time is that the watch lose seconds when in rotation and keep an almost +2sec per day when worn daily. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
