Yachtmaster, Datejust, Royal Oak, Overseas... blue dial conundrum

So I love all four of these models and have a few and am looking to add some others. The problem is that I love all of them in blue. It may sound like a silly question but I am curious which dial configurations you would have these four in a collection together. I feel like all four in blue may be overlapping and even though they look best in blue to me, that for the sake of a collection it would be best to get other colors.

That is not to say all have to be a different colors. Two blues is fine for example...

So if you had these four models in your collection what dial color would you choose?

Nothing wrong with having a theme in your collection

If you want to diversify the dial colours in your collection then I would do
it like this:

Yachtmaster - rhodium
Datejust - black
Royal Oak - white
Overseas - blue

Yachtmaster in Rhodium, Datejust TT Wimbledon currently. Unfortunately still don't have an RO or Overseas but I'd go with a RO with blue dial and an Overseas in chrono black with white subdials.

Overseas would be a 4500v, so just a plain color. Would you still go with black?

YM - rhodium
DJ - depends on what you're looking at. SS? TT? SS would probably go with silver just to avoid the blue theme. TT would be wimbledon
RO - assuming you don't want the blue here, grey and white are nice. i have the white
VC - has to be blue imo

YM: Rhodium or TT chocolate dial
Overseas: has to be blue
AP: honestly take whatever dial color you can get from a boutique unless you are buying grey market. All are nice. I own black, silver and ruthenium. Still waiting for a blue someday from my boutique.
DJ: I would do the new green, Wimbledon dial or two tone

YM - rhodium
DJ - silver (if steel & white gold) or champagne (if steel & yellow gold)
RO - white or blue
Overseas - blue

Good luck!

seems like that is the running theme here yes. that and the YM in rhodium.

I really like the fluted motif dial in blue. So as of now I'm thinking

YM - Rhodium
DJ - Blue motif
RO - Silver/white
4500v- blue

Although I do like the DJ41 in Wimbledon style as well, in complete SS... though I understand that's a very polarizing model

The RO definitely. Next is the YM blue because the red accents on that dial is lovely.

Then I will have VCO in any other colour and DJ in mint.

I totally understood but this is my input. If blue is it than this is it. FWIW, no DJ, blue or otherwise; had a blue and it was tedious. No AP or VC. My YM40 is Rhodium. I suspect you don't understand.

How does you showing your bluesy in a topic asking for dial options on the models I'm interested mean I don't understand? The bluesy is a tacky salesman watch to me, but thanks for your off topic input.

The DJ in mint green comes with a fluted motif as well, right? I may have to check that in person to see if it rivals the blue.

I love the blue dial DJ, but bought a silver one instead because I already had a blue dial Seamaster.

I think the YM, VC and RO have to be blue. DJ could be something else.

Yachtmaster, Datejust, Royal Oak, Overseas... blue dial conundrum

You'd be surprised how few watches you need if you add that blue Vacheron first.

White RO would be my next pick up.

YM rhodium
DJ champagne or white TT on jubilee 36 or green not TT
RO black or white
VC blue

I’m firm about YM and VC, others not so much.

VC- Blue

I understand your dilemma. I love blue also and would be tempted to say get them all in blue. Maybe ro in white or change up ym. Was intrigued by EEpro’s comments however.

Buy what you like. I did. Saying that, I feel a move away from blue is next.

RO - Silver/white. Had the chance to choose between the blue and silver/white and chose the latter. As someone mentioned, arguably the best silver/white dial out there right now.

VC - Blue. The lacquer sunburst effect is insane.

I'll have this exact pair one day. Missing the RO. Stunning.
