2022 DJ41 Winding Crown
Hi all. I just bought a DJ41 126334 and I have a question about the winding crown. To secure it, I know from another thread you’re supposed to turn it to finger tightness. However, when I turn mine it keeps going till it bottoms out. is the gasket in the crown bad or is it just a harder gasket than previous models?
I brought it to a watchmaker and he water tested it. When I got it back it was so tight it was nearly impossible to undo the crown and I had to grip it with a towel to undo it. Did he ruin the gasket? |

The last 1/4 - 1/2 turn should have some resistance, a soft squishy feeling, if you don't feel that and it just turns the same resistance until no more then something is wrong imo.

Hi, I had exactly the same feeling on my new datejust 41 from AD.
I know exactly what you are saying and believe me I tried lots in ADs and I can confirm they ALL felt the same. |
