Hi all i was thinking of buying the following watch any ideas what sort of price for a new 1 and when would they be available

The one you show is the one that is available right now... Rolex watches are not sold by "model year"

List price is about 9300 US Dollars..

If you're referring to the 116613 (as in the one that was launched at Basel this year), then they'll be available September/October time, around the £5.5k mark, I'd say.

Well yes latest case date stamp but in reality model has changed very little since 1988/9 movement the same very reliable and well proved Cal 3135.Now later models non lug hole case some minor bracelet and minor font details and thats about it.

had confimation today the UK AD will be selling these for £6470 which would be $10,287.30 i think its a good price for a brand new rolex dont you ???

That's a £700 premium on top of the current watch....I still think the current one has become seriously overpriced, I'm not sure if you'll be getting £6.5k's worth of watch. It's getting dangerously close to Patek territory...

In stock at present I have the Bi Coloured Submariner with Blue dial at £5790. This is the model that is being replaced by the new watch that you were enquiring about. It looks identical to the new model except that the new model will have a ceramic bezel, looking the same but made of a non scratch material. I have just telephoned Rolex and they have said delivery of the new Sub is Sept/ Oct and the price will be £6470-00. If you wanted to be put on the waiting list you would be second. We would require a 20% deposit to reserve the watch for you.

I bought mine from a grey dealer, if I were buying brand new again I'd still buy grey. But since I've had the luxury of already buying one brand new the one thing I'd do differently is to buy used, they polish up like a penny and I think these models used right now are a big bargin.

Just to add to what others have said...that there are plenty of good grey dealers out there who can supply the current TT subs for a lot less than retail, if you need a name and number just PM me.

As for the new TT subs, although I haven't seen them in person I think they do look a lot nicer than the current ones. I believe they are quite similar to the TT GMTIIC (which I own), which has solid centre links. My biggest gripe about the current TT subs are the hollow centre links. In my Sub LV I don't mind at all, but in the TT model, i don't know...almost feel cheated. The solid links in my TT GMTIIC just give the bracelet a real solid quality feeling.

I think the new one is going to be around £6,900 from what I heard from the AD... atleast the new TT DJII is... (SS/WG £4,700 currently)

When comparing the 16613 and the 116613, the dial and bezel color will be different. The new 116113, the dial is more of a lapis color (you either like it or not) while the 16613 has a dark blue color to it. Mine is 20 years old and has aged to a deeper blue/purple dial.

went back to rolex dealer in cancun the current 16613 with gold new is $7800 which is £4875 pounds what is the price of this watch back in the uk

i was also offered the gmt? with cermaic bezel in black and gold for the same price are they worth it or not

I have bought two TT Blues thru the years. Both new from AD's I would now go grey dealer for a lot less. Unless you must have BMIB from an AD check out the re-sale or grey market.....I am in the market for an 18Kt gold Sub and would never walk into an AD for that watch.

Personally I would choose the TT GMTIC over the current TT SUB...Solid gold centre links, new clasp, newer case, maxi dial, AR coating on cyclops, 2nd timezone function, ceramic bezel...

In the UK the difference in retail for these two models is £5,790 (ish) for the TT sub versus £6,440 for the TT GMTIIC, so if these are being offered at the same price the GMT is the better deal, plus I reckon £4,875 for BNIB is a a good price.

I saw it at my AD and I prefer the ones with the non-ceramic bezel. See what you think when you see them in the flesh but to me, the shade of blue looked almost too bright.
