Where to buy OEM oysterflex

Hi TRF members,

I’d like to ask if there’s a reliable seller / re-seller / grey market dealer of OEM oysterflex straps for the sky-dweller?

I’ve a SS black dial sky-dweller and would like to do a little modification.

I should add that Rolex won’t sell the OF strap to me because the SS sky-dweller isn’t offered on the OF strap as an option.

Since you actually have a SD, you might reach out to your regional Rolex distributor to see if the strap can be purchased separately. Rolex might want you to prove you have the watch by photo or may require the AD receipt.

I don’t think there’s an RSC worldwide that would sell OF parts unless your watch came on one. The fact that the Skydweller now has an OF variation doesn’t matter if you bought the bracelet model.
Dealers, at least in the US, usually won’t either. My AD said no to any for my 116500. They sometimes come up for sale here in the Rolex parts and accessories subforum.

Most ADs will not sell an oysterflex unless you have a watch one originally came on. You best bet is probably the classifieds here or chrono24

Rolex won’t sell someone with a SS sky d an OF. It’s not made for that watch.

That said, it’s not impossible to get. If you’re tight with your AD they’ll order it for you. However I don’t know if the lug width matches.

I picked up my 21mm OF straps for my DSSD from someone who had purchased the wrong sizes for their watch.
You can be resourceful and check TRF parts sales forum and other forums as I’ve seen different OF bands there in the past.
I also know original OF bands are available on C24 and on eBay sometimes.
Just make sure you know which band model number and strap length you need to fit your wrist.

I’d consider getting a third-party strap like from Rubber B. The OF won’t look as clean as those because it isn’t integrated with the case.

You'd have to very motivated to get the OF as it's a lot of cash for a rubber strap.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. Think I’ll just stick to a rubber b then.

The OF straps on the PM Sky-D fit perfectly to the SS version. I was able to purchase them from my AD.

OF part #: 218-108-xx (xx = size D, E etc.)

Does the rubber b ever soften? Or does it stay so rigid?

I own one for my Tudor BB58. It has stayed about as rigid as when I got it, but it’s not uncomfortable. I’d go as far as saying it’s one of my most comfortable straps. The quality and fit appear as though it’s OEM.

End links are smarty end links that he makes for the SD43. The width (lug to lug) is fine, height of the end links area bit shorter as the Sky-D lugs are taller than the SD43.

I only have one wrist shot below. I am going to place the jubilee on the Sky-D as I just received it from the AD. But the OF straps on the Sky make it very comfortable.
