If yes, I'd keep the 5164 for added variety. If no, I am not sure as neither 15202 nor 5164 are top of my list whereas 5711 blue is among my favorite watches. |

Depends what your important purchase is? If it’s a 16202 for example ….

Depends entirely on what else is in the collection.
I personally love both watches, but id rather my collection have no aquanaut than have no RO. |

Having owned both 5164 was by far my preference. It’s just about perfect.

The Jumbo definitely, but I bet your post on Patek forum is the opposite.
The Jumbo is the king of AP, but the Aquanaut is several down on the list of Patek Philippe iconic references. If you only own one or two of a brand, stick with the icons |

Can only keep one... 15202ST or 5164A?
Jumbo is Royalty. I wouldn’t blink picking 15202 over ANY aquanaut. Several big whales above also selected 15202, this speaks volume of its heritage and collectibility.
Ever asked yourself what can you do in 24 hrs? Look down on your wrist. Some guy pulled off that jumbo design in less than a day. Nothing short of legendary. |

I notice this got punted from open forum to AP so likely skews the results.
Not sure what is the catalyst, if true financial need then sell the one that gets you through the storm longer. If on collection building, I would argue 15202 since you could foreseeable get a 16202 in production later or just re jump on the jumbo train later. I’m not 100% sure that is possible on a 64. Not sure meaning I simply don’t know if the product line is intended to be around forever since it is not core to Patek DNA - maybe will be maybe will not be. I personally like jumbo more by a hair, but in distress and rebuilding later seems more replaceable or substitutable. |

I own and love a 5164a, but the 15202 has my vote due to its historical significance in case its a 2012+ version mimicking the original design.

I don't have many certainties in this hobby. I always want a new one straight after being a new piece and I spend my free time thinking about dozens of next ones...
But the one thing I know and where my mind never changed in the last 20 years, is that if I had to keep just ONE WATCH, it would be a Royal Oak... So 15202 without a second of doubt or hesitation |

I must be way out of touch, but I cannot imagine a situation where if I had to choose one or the other I would choose the Patek (and I like the 5164 and have the same movement in another watch).
As a daily and not a collector and I wanted something to wear the shit out of, then I would do the 5164. Love travel times and the execution of it is great. But for a watch that is part of a "collection", something with longevity that you will have and pass on, 15202 and its not close in my mind. |

It's really based on your style/lifestyle but I've owned the 15202 and 15300 while also owning a 5167 and my PP got hands down more wrist time than either AP. I know its a 5164, but that's maybe even better! |

Owned 15202, 5711 and 5167. Tried 5164 many times.
Unless you already have 5711, I probably will keep 15202 and let go of 5164. If you only have these 15202 and 5164, then definitely I will keep 15202. Rubber watch is nice but not as nice as the iconic 15202. But really depends what kinda collection you building on as well. |
