Obviously new to watches - but that’s not a criticism.

Easy to make fun of the OP & yes I get it, it’s a major school boy error & I’m sure when he/she finds out they will be pretty embarrassed.

Regardless, I’ve never been a fan of mob ridicule, especially on Internet forums where everyone’s an ‘expert’

I’m sure we’ve all been there at some point in our lives

Very simple fix! Just eliminate the problem. Remove that 3rd hand and problem solved.

I still stand by angst towards people who buy a GMT with no need for the functionality.

At least a Submariner you can use the bezel to time something.

I feel like it’s not even worth going down the road of useless functionality talk.

All roads lead back to, why do you even need a watch when you have a phone?

I’m not saying I subscribe to that statement But there’s obviously truth to it. And to step it back once, there’s also always the “buy a g shock” conversation

He may be new to the GMT lineup. Give him time to learn.

Well said

The assumption by so many on here that every Rolex buyer should know exactly how their new watch works and that no one would buy it simply because they like the look of it and it tells the time (and/or "its a Rolex") explains why so many cant grasp the real reason for the Rolex supply/demand imbalance

If that gives you "angst" you need to seriously re-evaluate what's important in life

Can't feel sorry for a guy that can afford to but that watch even at msrp

ok , he wasn't aware of the gmt complication - foolish but forgivable given 95% of gmt owners don't use the function .

even if it's a troll [ doubt it] - makes us think twice as to why we buy what we do .

lots of Sub owners here , how many of us actually use watch while Diving ?
yeah !~ how many even dive lol
