New 41mm Datejust Mint Green
I asked to be put on the waitlist at my AD when this watch was released back in March.
I followed up a month ago with my SA, and he indicated that he hasn't even seen one of these new mint green watches yet. I thought that was odd. Am I being played, or has any other board member been told the same info from their AD. Thanks in advance. |

Guessing you're being played. My small AD has had a minimum of three - likely far more. I say at least three because I've been offered those but they haven't been the exact configuration I want.

It’s possible depending on the size of your AD.

I've had the same question when I go into any of my local AD's, regarding the 36mm DJ with blue fluted dial. All have said they have never seen one. I was hoping to at least see an exhibition model of this dial. I am 99% sure I want one, but would love to see what it looks like in person to be 100% sure.

No doubt some of them have to…dealing with some customers’ demands and expectations…

to be fair, AD may genuinely not have seen one since it's a new release. fwiw, even the vibrant new Omega Aqua-Terras haven't been widely sighted in the wild. Expect that to change come holiday season, I'd expect.

Thanks for the information guys. My wife also asked to be put on the waitlist for the new DJ 31mm blue floral motif dial. He said he hasn't seen that model either.
We'll wait and see. If the market keeps dropping closer to retail, it's game on at that point. |

It's very possible your sales rep hasn't seen it. But it's highly unlikely that your entire AD hasn't seen it unless it's a small AD that Rolex is likely to pull license of soon.
Reps not always privy to every single model that comes in. Sometimes they're not even allowed to sell certain models. Many just get told what they are allowed to sell or allocated to sell. Then they can ask other reps what they got and swap for clients. |

I tried on a mint green smooth bezel DJ a few weeks ago and to me it was a strange shade of green. The AD was surprised they had one delivered as its a very hot model at the moment apparently. Needless to say its no longer in the store.
Someone in this thread mentioned the blue fluted motif dial. I got very lucky with mine. It was a casual request but I wanted the fluted dial, fluted bezel on oyster and even the AD thought it was a tall order at this stage. A few days later he called to say "youll never guess whats just been delivered". I just wish I could post a photo without reframing it, converting it, cropping it and removing 17 pixels. |
