Any thoughts on this 15037?

I recently broke my 16613lb and it’s going in for service. I don’t know how long it will be gone, so I’m looking for something that can fill it’s space while it’s away.

I have always wanted a full gold watch, I’m aware this one is 14k not 18k which is alright with me. I’m also aware 34mm is smaller than my sub and I’m ok with that as well. I figure this would make a good special occasion or date night watch. I am also a Ford guy so it being gifted to a Ford exec just adds a little extra on top.

This is the only picture I have at the moment. Is the blue dial original? I haven’t found any 15037 with a similar blue dial.

Thanks in advance!!

Yeah, I figured. Unfortunately that’s all I’ve got right now. If I can get someone there to send me pics I will add them. Thanks.

You may also want to share any other information you have, such as the start of the serial number, etc.

Will be sure to add any info I can get once I do.

Thanks.

Shouldn’t it have writing above the serial #?

I can't attest to its authenticity but I must say its a beautiful looking piece truly from a different era... Wasnt the Ford Exec one supposed to have the Ford logo on the caseback?

I don’t know. I know hardly anything about this reference. That’s why I brought it to the forum. Do you know if it’s supposed to?

I recall seeing one posted for sale in another site a few months ago with a company logo engraved at the back.

Look around the hour markers. The plots, not the diamonds. Looks like the paint on the dial is wearing away. It looks like it is starting to around some of the diamonds too.

The deterioration around the lume plots is very common for the blue dials of the era. Actually, its the one way I can almost certainly verify that its a real dial

I posted this in vintage but no response, any thoughts on this 15037?

Thank you all for your advice and knowledge. Does anyone know if it should have any writing above the serial #?

I’m curious if what we are seeing as “deterioration” is actually just the glare off the side of the plot.

I offered 10.5 and I’m pretty solid there. From Ford it should have come on a riveted oyster bracelet so the bracelet is clearly not original.

We will see what happens, I’m still awaiting if there is papers or not. If there is Ford papers included I may up my price a little.
