Schiphol Rolex Boutique

I'm headed back to Amsterdam later this week and am going to try my luck at the Schiphol Airport Rolex Boutique. Any tips on what to say to get a desired Rolex?

Thanks in advanced!

Safe travels! From what I understand you'll have to be very specific with the ask and hope it aligns with what they have in stock. Seems like those who inquire with sell me whatever sports model you have have had less success.

Safe travels

“Goededag” … once they hear your pronunciation, they will switch you to English.

Don't bother, they won't have anything to sell!

Was there 3 days ago. Knew they wouldn’t have anything but went to have a look. Nothing.

I'm going there tomorrow morning, will clean out all three stores. So don't bother, they're definitely going to be sold out!

I pass by very often, only exhibition models or you must be very lucky that you arrive just at the moment they actually display a watch for sale.

I passed through there a couple of weeks ago and was able to pick up a 126333 - Champagne Diamond Dial - Two Tone.

They mentioned it had gone out not 40 minutes before. I didn't ask for anything specific, just walked in and politely enquired if they had any stock.

You need to ask for a SPECIFIC MODEL, even if there is nothing in the display cases.

Don't be wishy-washy, be upfront and tell them what you are looking for...

Ask them for the model that you currently want, if they have one they might sell you it. I know for a fact they don't put all their current stock out.

I got my full gold CHNR from there at the end of 2020 and my polar Explorer II in 2015; those were different times though with a selection of sports models in the case!

Woke up an hour before my scheduled phone call from the hotel reception. Can't sleep!

I only have a 2hr layover. Is that even enough time to run to the boutiques before my next flight is called?

I anticipate obstacles.

Got a polar explorer II from there in April 2022. Loads of people in front of me rejected. I asked and I got. Was specific with the model I was looking for.

Was there 2 weeks ago with my wife. Asked for a 36mm TT datejust for her. Unfortunately they did not have any watches in stock at that particular moment. The SA was very nice though. Told me they sell first come first serve, and when new stock comes in usually it is sold within minutes.

That’s enough time provided you have a boarding pass for the next lap. You don’t need to go through security or immigration again. One end to the other will take max 10 minutes walking.

Skunked!

Gassan store on EU side had no SS but did offer a 126231 36mm with the checkered face (no thx.)

The boutique on international side had no SS either, said they got the exhibition GMT in 2019 and nothing since. Reason? Flippers. Tax free price is just 8400 so people make a good profit.
