PloProf would have been perfect James Bond watch

Look at that red bezel release button. Can you imagine the possibilities in James Bond movies?

I'm amazed Omega never used this watch. :)

Loving this watch. It's just so... well... overboard crazy.

It’s a crazy tool watch indeed Juho.

I’ve always appreciated the design cues. It’s purpose built and not trying to hide it

Unfortunately it’s not a watch the general public would buy..

The Seamaster however….

It's the "Hummer of wrist watches".

There is no doubt it is a cool watch and don't get me wrong, I would love to have one. However, I think it lacks the elegance and snobbery of a James Bond accessory. More like something Dr. Evil might have to launch his Big Boy into orbit.

Haha you may be right.

But this would be Bond's occasion watch only. When he goes to a deadly explosive mission armed to the teeth. And that red button would be the launcher.

It's one of my favourites! Great picture, Juho. This history behind this watch is fascinating, and it's a winner in my books. My favorite version is the steel reissue from years back, with the date window.

I just can't see it fitting under the cuff of his fitted shirt and tux. Haahahah!

I like the watch and think scene specific in the Bond movies it would work great.

Would be awesome if the Proplof was used for an underwater scene.

1.5 years since I made a watch review. Now I did.

Here's the original Omega PloProf.

It's just basic writeup. I'm sure there are much better technical reviews of this model but I hope you find it at least remotely interesting. Tried to get some decent pictures.

A James Bond is supposed to look like an ordinary watch, with unbelievable hidden capabilities.
The Ploprof looks like it is a secret agent watch with none of the capabilities.
