Within the Rolex Brand... all YG GMT/Daytona

If open to other brands...

Panerai

From my personal experience you go full gold GMTc and Daytona, then you go straight back to the classic SS models and keep the bling in a safe.

It all depends upon your tastes, but I would look at: the Datejust, the Submariner, or the Milgauss. As an all around watch and assuming like most people that you have a limited budget (somewhat anyway), I would look at the Submariner first, but I swim a lot and that is part of the reason. The Datejust is a very nice all around watch and features 100 meters water resistance, which is more than most people need. The Milgauss incorporates protection from magnetic fields, which might be handy also, depending on where you work. These would be my personal priorities, but the good news is that Rolex offers high quality across the line, so whichever models you choose, you are in fine shape. Some people like to prioritize resale value, which is not something I look at much, but I do note that some of the formerly higher resale models have seen lower pricing on the secondary market in the last year or so, perhaps because of the recession. Best of luck!

I'd go vintage. Probably I'd be on the phone with Steve right now looking for a 1680.

I would agree with lobo 58, unfortunately it's looking like a new washing machine for me.

So if you go full gold and throw it in the safe, and usually wear something that is SS, does that mean you only wear a TT half the time?? May it be half a day? Half a Week? Half a Year??

Icon12 Gold!!

Once you go all gold, it's almost impossible to go back to SS. Some can pull it off, perhaps, not too easy for me.

I would recommend either a Sub, Milgauss or a DJ.
