Tales from the LOUPE

So I kinda made it my life’s mission over the last couple of days to snap a good picture of the LEC using supplies I already have. I don’t have a powerful camera, so I basically just took a loupe and put it up against the camera lens of my iPhone 12 Mini and was surprised I was able to get one so clear! (To me, at least). I know there are tons of better photos out there, but I must say I’m slightly proud of this one. This is from my 2022 BLRO.. looks like it’s the circle within the crown base circle, indicating internal AR coating. Thoughts?

I'd never take a loupe to my watch! I would never be able to unsee all the imperfections hahaha.

Thanks! Yeah, I was starting to lose hope lol. I think I just caught lightning in a bottle with the perfect angle/lighting, and not sure I’d be able to replicate again!

Lol yeah, I try not to use it too much, but the little “imperfections” don’t really bother me.. I just really wanted a pic of that LEC!

Loupes are fine, in their rightful place.
Like on my head when fiddling with a pesky springbar and I can’t catch an edge.

Or to see the magnificence of my Calatrava’s movement.

Or to play around and catch a glimpse of the LEC…oh, wait, I’m only holding vintage in the stable right now…nevermind.

Yep, not interested in using my loupe to find “imperfections”
