Glidelock Clasp dimensions for 114060 vs 124060?
Hello,
Watches a ton a videos and could not find an answer. I have a 41mm Submariner (124060) and an older 40mm Glidelock Clasp from a 97200 bracelet. Was wondering if I can use it with a 21mm rubberb strap (for 41mm sub bracelets). I can use the Glidelock clasp from my current bracelet but would rather not if it first the older version, fast to swap back and forth without needing a screwdriver. I know the lug width is 1mm longer and they both taper but I am guessing what I am asking here is the width of the clasp different enough to not accommodate the rubber strap? Thank you, |

I don't own one of the new 12 series Subs, but I can tell you that the old 11 series Sub bracelet tapers to a 15.6mm link at the clasp, whereas the newer 12 series Sub tapers to a 16.4mm link at the clasp. So that's a difference of just 0.8mm.
IMO you could probably squeeze a RubberB strap very slightly to fit the older size clasp with no noticeable bulging. I've seen people squeeze 22mm rubber and leather straps into 21mm lugs before with no problem at all, so I really don't think it'll be an issue.

You should be able to trim the rubber strap to fit the narrower clasp with a sharp blade quite easily to make it fit.
