I don’t care anything at all for these freebees, they can keep them.
Other than some tools which they don’t give it’s all rubbish for me.

Best Rolex gift to ASK for from an AD? None.

Best Rolex gift to be GIVEN unsolicited by an AD? The Rolex-branded Swiss Kubik winder.

I was never given the Rolex version of that winder myself, but I was once given the IWC branded version. Good piece of kit, and a very nice touch to be gifted it just for spending my money on something I wanted!

My AD has given me a few of the little green watch pouches over the years. I find them quite useful as I just store my watches in those and can then put the boxes away somewhere else out of the way.

Tell the AD you don’t want the watch because of the way they have treated you. That will soon teach the AD……….until they phone the next on the list.

I think it is perfectly reasonable to say that you've always been fascinated by the swag that Rolex produces and see where the conversation goes. They might or might not respond positively and, if they don't, it's pretty easy to move on.

I would not personally word it in any way that places fault on them or implies that you are owed anything, as I doubt that would yield a positive response.

Agree.

So some of you said I should ask for some gifts/accessories as a compensation.
And yeah I asked for a discount towards the old price but that's a big fat no.

What do you guys think I should ask for? if you guys have pics please share.
Wouldn’t be surprised if everyone on the list got bumped down and had to pay the higher price.

Mistakes happen.

But go ahead and ask for compensation, you totally "deserve" it since they "promised" you!

AD didn’t cost you anything. Watches are delivered when they are regardless of price changes which occur regularly. Just be grateful you got the watch at Msrp and move on. As said , if the dealer wants to throw in a gift they will. You know they buy that stuff from Rolex.

First, I love how these threads always go off track within the first few posts; This forum is great for that!
I've experienced it too. Such a warm place.
Second, the OP asked a simple question, and only a few answered it. All the other keyboard commandos were not only unhelpful, but just plain rude.

" be happy you're getting it at retail". Are you kidding me?
How is that answering the question? Get lost.

I didn't read in the OP, any mention of him going in and demanding results. He simply asked what he could ask for.

The quote above from this member says it perfectly! Thank you for just answering the question.

If you don't ask, they won't offer, so good luck to you, and I would ask for the winder or the leather watch case.

If OP had said “I’m picking up my watch, what swag should I ask for?” He would have gotten responses that you’re talking about.

Instead he said “my AD cheated me out of 1000 dollars/euros. What can I ask for as compensation?”

Can you see the difference?

I also feel it's perfectly acceptable to ask what Rolex accessories they can bundle with the watch. Not because you are entitled to something, because they didn't allocate you a watch before the price increase, but because discounts are out of the question.

How else do people on here think watch roll etc. are handed out? If you're lucky they'll give you a pen if you don't ask for anything. Most probably they will give you nothing.

You're spending thousands on a totally unnecessary item. Let's be real, it's not like the AD is doing you a favor. They make 30-40% on the purchase. They can afford to throw in a watch roll.

Last purchase I got a perfume. Would have prefered an umbrella, honestly.

I'm just happy at getting the watch at MSRP. Purchased 4 watches in the past 12 months at MSRP and never got any gifts except for getting the call which is more than enough for me

Good god, you're not still banging on about this weeks after are you?!

Just let it go. If you're not happy with getting it at the new MSRP then you shouldn't own a Rolex. If you can't absorb the extra £1k then you shouldn't own a Rolex.
Get your head out your backside and just move on.

Sorry if that's harsh. But it's the truth.

It's unfortunate but I'd just let it go, be grateful that you received it. If you intend on shopping there in the future, then you don't want to come off as unappreciative and not get any future allocations.

Go for the watch winder. Those things are really cool (pretty useless, but cool looking).
