Does anyone here actually swim, snorkel, dive with their Seamaster 300M?
I just picked up an Omega Seamaster 300M (black dial on rubber). Does anyone here have experience swimming, diving, snorkeling, hot tubbing, etc with this watch? I did so regularly with my Rolex Submariner and hope this watch has the same capabilities. Yes I know it has the same WR rating, but looking for real world experience (even if just a dip in your local pool or pond).

I have swam, swum? swimmed? with my PO2500, and a Breitling Avenger, both have held up perfectly. A new 300m should perform just fine, for swimming, that is. Can’t comment on diving or snorkeling, and I’d never subject a watch to a hot tub, steam room or sauna, but that’s just me.

I've been in the pool, beach, and shower with my Seamaster 2220.80 and it held up fine.

Yep it can handle all that and more. I dive with mine at 100 feet. They are workhorses.

Thanks, everyone! I had read some reports of fogging and flooding in the Omega WR thread and was hoping these were aberrations. I am new to the brand and the Seamaster 300M.

Absolutely. You can treat the 300M just the same as you did your Sub.

I’ve done it all with this one, including activating the pushers under water

I wear my 300M in the ocean all the time, while fishing or swimming. I also have worn it quite a bit in the pool. Can’t speak to hot tub/sauna though. Should be totally fine.

First it's a Omega, second it's a 300m, third it's a "professional " model and forth it's Metas certified. 300M + 25% or 1250 feet of water pressure.
Meaning it will go deeper than you ever will. Very tough movement as well. So take it where ever you please and you will never breach half of it's capabilities.

I wear my 300M very, very hard. Been in the ocean several times and in the pool many times.

I hear that about hard-wearing! I wear it while washing my hands at least 5-6 times per day. Also, I accidentally forgot to take it off while doing the dishes yesterday! It got a little iced tea on it…I took it to my AD immediately for service. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

I’ve had my trusty old 300M GMT (ref 2535.80) snorkeling in the ocean for 2-3 hours straight. Done this numerous times (lobster hunting). No issues at all.

My 2531.80 has been on my wrist all over the world for the last 7 years. From snorkeling in the Galapagos to trekking to jungle and underground rivers in Vietnam to Machu Picchu and snowmobiling in Iceland, it’s never missed a beat. Took it to pools, beaches, and oceans in Bahamas, Hawaii, Asia, etc. I love that thing and is on the list for the new 60th 007 watch.

If you mean the SMP300, then yes...I have put mine through the ringer on several vacations at this point and it is one of the toughest watches out there.
Just make SURE to have the helium escape valve completely screwed in because that it the one way it will take on water... |
