Yellow gold green dial daytona

I’ve been wanting to buy this for my wife for the longest time and unfortunately the official route is obviously out of the question.

Would be interested to hear thoughts on its plummeting value and if people think it’s got more room to fall?

I’m happy to pay over retail and don’t ever expect it to get near those prices but I’d find 50k for example GBP acceptable to pay and within budget :)

i'd assume there's no reason for them to not fall more in the short term but in the prices thread on here it looks like these are in the low 60s now (USD)

I’m not sure that a new one from an AD would be out of the question, probably only a few months wait

It definitely was a year ago. I know they’ve increased supply so might be worth another shot. I don’t hold much hope though :p

Agreed.

Asked my AD (and still asking) where I purchased most if not all my watches about the JM since 3 years ago still no luck that being said they sold me a Panda, Pepsi and Blue Skydweller all within last couple years but no JM guess why

In the ten years I've been with my AD I've only seen one in person and it was already sold.

If it gets discontinued let’s see where the price goes. Nicest watch in the catalogue. I’m in the market for my third one. One is a daily, one is new in the safe, and the third will be for my wife.

My AD called it the unicorn. I think it's quite challenging. Price is down a lot, OP. Go for it BNIB grey.

I’d draw a line in the sand at a realistic £XXX for you. If it drops that low, buy it and don’t look back. If it doesn’t, you showed restraint and it didn’t pan out.

Lack of punctuation?

I do still get the impression they are hard to score.

It’s certainly rare, but it’s not the unicorn many believe it to be. Meteorite Daytonas and Platonas are are more deserving of the ‘unicorn’ seal.

They are all rare watches, regardless!

Yeah but I have one of those. That's the point he was making. They only ever sold 2 of the meteorites to customers. 4 others stayed in the family. Yet he says JM is the unicorn. Just a data point if you can find one for the right price I'd get it. There may not be that many floating around.

I was offered baguettes platona 2 weeks ago. $82K I think.

I think there’s a comma somewhere.

With other pm watches falling below MSRP, I’d wait or at least hit up your AD.

My AD got three in less then 6 months. It’s been 3 years since and not another has arrived. They might not be telling me if one did, but I have a good relationship with them, and they’ve sold me one, so I would think they are telling the truth.

It’s really hit and miss with allocation.
