Does the date window alignment look ok?

hi,

please look at this pic. To me, the position of the date font (writing) appears to be a little higher than it should be. Is this a sign of concern or relatively normal? Or is this indicative of something wrong with the movement?

thnx

It looks like the numbers on the date wheel are just a little off dead center. I have seen this slight misalignment before, and it happens from time to time. Not really a problem, but if it gets progressively worse it should be corrected.

More likely that the camera angle is a couple of degrees high.

The picture is taken from an angle, from sligthly above and to the right (of the watch). Check the rehaut/flange, that also looks asymmetrical, as does the reflections in the edge of the crystal.

That is why the cyclops looks out of place.

Best,

A

The angle is slighly off.

I think the angle can account for the cyclops not looking exactly aligned with the window but I definitely think the date reel is slighly high compared to the window (the reel is so close to the window that the angle shouldn't make much of a difference). Is this a watch that you own?

I agree 100% with this assessment!

IMHO, it's really a crappy picture! To make certain its off center, ask for a few more pics.
