I agree with most that the 36 would be a better fit and you'll never have to think twice about the size.

DD 40 on 6 inch wrist
Quote:
Indeed! Have 7 inch wrist but pretty round: would not consider a DD40 as would be too big for my taste even though would not overhang. For reference here a DJ 41 (tried at AD): and my current 36 MM TOG 116264: and 36MM DD 118239 for reference: OP: are your wrist flat or rounded? Pictures of other pieces would help Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Definitely go with the 36mm version with a 6" wrist. The image in post #2 with a 40mm on a 6.5" wrist that "fits like a glove" shows the watch sitting lug to lug covering the width of the whole wrist. Definitely way too big!

Personally, I'd go 36 with 6inch. I have a not big, not small wrist (6.75inch) and have debated between 36 and 40mm.

It all comes down to personal preference. I see petite women wearing 40 Day-Dates. You can go either way, my feeling is the bigger the dial, the easier to read. Get what looks best on your wrist with your eye. In other words, get what YOU like best!!

Wrist diameter does not tell the whole story. I’d encourage you to try one on and see how it sits and fits your overall wrist shape.
