Dj41

I finally have a chance to try both DJ41, fluted, white dial and a white Daytona.
Maybe I am used to larger watches (SubC-40mm, Santos large), I did not find the DJ41 too large for my 6.5-inch wrist (nice surprise).
On the other hand, I found the Daytona smaller than I thought but it is so elegant. Unfortunately, it is $53K CAN, too expensive for me.

A DJ is a solid watch, can’t go wrong with it. White dial and sticks is a gook look.

Pretty watch but looks a bit big on your wrist.

DJ41 is not 41mm watch. It's just Rolex marketing.
I believe it was around 39mm.

And the Daytona is also not 40mm, I think it was around 38.5mm

True. True.
I did try on a DJ36 yesterday and in my opinion, it was way to small. Like I said, I am used to big watches.
I tried the Explorer-42 a few weeks ago and I found it too big for me. So, this is a nice surprise that I can wear the DJ41.

Great that you had an opportunity to try them on.

The DJ really is a nice size and I agree, it does wear smaller than the measurements would suggest.

I just picked one up with that same fluted/oyster combo with the azzurro blue dial and I love it. I tried on a TT Daytona once and wasn’t my thing, but DJ41 wears great.

I did look at all 3 watches side by side: SubC-40, DJ41 and white Daytona.
Sizes of the first two are similar. Daytona looks the smallest amongst the three.

I actually planned to get another white dial sport watch only chocies from Rolex are Explorer 2 and Daytona.
So, I am now going for a DJ41.
IMO, oystersteel bracelet looks sportier than Jubilee.

I finally took another picture of DJ41 on my wrist.
While the watch is still not properly sized, I positioned it “better” on my wrist to take the picture.

Great watches. I’d agree though that for a DJ, a 36mm would look better on you. A Daytona is by no means too small for a 6.5” wrist and a SubC is probably absolute max for a 6.5 without looking (and feeling) very oversized. In the end though, go with whatever you like.

I think 41mm is too large for you. My wrist is 7.5" and I just about get away with it.
Definitely try the 36mm as well.

Still too big? I thought the DJ41 looks good in the latest picture, not too big for my wrist.

I did try a few DJ36 but to my eyes, they looked too small. I am probably biased to bigger watches.

Looks good. Just buy and wear what you want regardless of what others think of size. Love the DJ41. It’s just a great all around watch

Don’t sleep on the 36, I find it looks and feels better than the 41.

Agreed. Looks great! DJ41 looks like a pie plate on smaller wrists…

Small indeed… 36mm is definitely for women.

Does look a bit big lug to lug but that may be the camera angle.... In any case, wear what you feel comfortable with, not what fashion or trends dictates.

Looks just fine in the second pic. Watches always look bigger in wrist shots than they appear in real life to others. The actual diameter is 39.5mm so don't get fooled by it's
"41" name. It's a beautiful and extremely comfortable watch.

I learned that a watch is too big if the lugs hang outside the wrist. Please correct me if I am wrong.

In the first picture, the white DJ41 was not sized properly and the lugs hanged outside my wrist.
I had a choice to try on another DJ41 (Silver). While I took the 2nd picture, I positioned the watch properly and I can see that the lugs no longer hang outside the wrist.

Although my wrist is only 6.5-inch, it is flat and maybe this is why the lugs do not hang outside.
