Thank you all again.
I got a pic of the shadow from the raised logo. In direct light it looks like a matte finish. Nice touch. And the seconds hand is capped onto the center. This isn’t a small touch and the angles of the indices reflect light better than some gold markers I’ve had. Probably the nicest dial of any sport tool watch I’ve ever owned. Highly recommend at least once for a wis. |

It’s wonderful and moreso a curiosity. Like any new addition, you kind of play with it more than the others but I’m actually quite impressed with it and look forward to timing it against my Oysterquartz once I get a battery replaced. I’ll post a pic of the buckle. |

My SBGN021 lost 2 seconds on its first year of ownership. Excellent watch and movement imo.

Congrats on the pickup. I am considering getting the white dial version, but need to try it on first to make sure it fits nicely on my wrist. It's 40mm, but I am guessing it wears larger due to the fact that there's no bezel on the watch? For example, my 39mm Explorer wears larger than my 40mm Sea Dweller.

I love it, and great value too. I'm in Japan in April and I'm definitely going to try to hunt one down.

Congrats, Chewy. I have the prior gen of that watch, and it’s become my all-time favorite daily. So much so that I even sold my last Rolex.
One thing that’s incredible about GS is the detail work on the indices. Mine (and I’m assuming yours) has fluting on the top of the indices and both the top and sides of the raised chapter ring. It’s essentially invisible to my naked eye, but it creates an interference pattern that shines like a rainbow in the light, a bit like the backside of a CD. Really amazing. Mine is about 47mm lug to lug, 39mm wide and just under 11mm thick, so it more or less fits like my old 5-digit Exp II, albeit slightly heavier (10 grams??) because of the two soft iron plates protecting the movement from magnetism. |
