You'll need to FF about 22mins to see the car.

Without the weight saving, scraping "off of" the 1934 Mercedes GP cars, white paint, we wouldn't have had the iconic, 'Silver Arrows'.
Can't help thinking a fair amount of weight might me saved by the removal of all the advertising stickers (decals).....not sure the sponsors would be overly excited by this though.

F4 UAE... wow, what an ending race to their season! Anyone else here watching the many UAE championships?

As I type this the Asian Le Mans four-hour is still racing.

New F1 rules…
Less MBS in F1…
Ferrari’s S-Duct…

The off-season is warming into a hot time at the WMSC.

Seems Domenicali & Liberty Media prevail in F1 governance tussle…

I know we're not supposed to interpret anything from pre-season testing, but Alonso P2 right behind Max is impressive. He can jump into virtually anything with a motor and wring it's neck.

Just an interesting side note: This year will be Fernando's first year in F1 where he's had a Mercedes-Benz power unit underneath him.

As much as I dislike Alonso as extremely suspect and untrustworthy he's still a great driver. I just hope the pre season testing speed extends into the race trim
Often the team has promised much and failed to deliver when it matters

There's a good chance that Sebastian Vettel may come back to F1 and sit in for the injured Lance Stroll for this upcoming week's race in Bahrain.... Would love to see Vettel and Alonso as teammates

My money (but not allowed) would be on DRU or VAN.

The story was speculative methinks,
”…had a couple of phone calls with Sebastian,”
“But this has been also last year, and this will continue in the future.”

So by definition they couldn’t have talked about a recent injury.

But we’ll see…

oh but that last sentence.. "Pressed on whether Vettel had expressed any interest in the potentially vacant Aston Martin, Krack wryly smiled: “I will not tell you!” So you're saying there's a chance!

Vettel's only been out of the car for a few months, he's the only one that can give feed back on the differences between the 2022 car and the 2023 car given that Stroll has yet to drive the 2023 and Alonso never drove the 2022. Vettel is extremely technical and can give his feedback which could be very valuable given the AM seems to have good pace so far in testing. And who wouldn't want to see Seb and Alonso in a one off?

Ahhh but alas, it was just announced within the hour that if Stroll is not fit to go this week, Drugavich will stand in and make his F1 debut. Too bad, Seb and Alonso on the same team, if just for 1 race would have been a great way to start the 2023 F1 season@!

Best part of DTS was Toto trying to threaten other team principals to change the rules under the guise of "safety" because his car didn't perform as well and then getting it handed back to him.

"Are we playing to the cameras here?" Horner nailed it.

Toto is a D-bag. Ever since Hamilton started losing and Merc went from 1st to 3rd he's lost his mind. He blames everyone else for his problems.

Alonso P1 at the end of FP2!! People who were at testing said that not only was the Aston Martin fast, but easy on the tires. Who knows, maybe Alonso wins a couple races this year...

As jaded as I can be concerning modern F1, when ALO starts winning races I'd happily wear some green AM team shirts. Since Brawn GP / Button... things have been pretty predictable.

ALO FTW

Looks a bit like last year so far based on qualifying with the exception of Fernando joining the party.

Red Bull clearly fastest, but the margins have diminished.

Ferrari still quick in qualifying, but saving tires for the race because their car on heavy fuel load isn't very good so they want to be on new tires for the race start.

Mercedes sandbagging all pre-season testing and Friday practice only to be in a position to snatch the last podium spot on Sundays.

We'll see if the Aston Martin in the hands of Fernando is good on long runs and heavy fuel. Reports from pre-season testing were that they are.

Should be a good fight tomorrow.

For me "Logan's RUN"* was the first surprise. I don't remember if I ever seen a tie in F1, but I'm sure there was nothing was close for this, when the deceision was based only on who runned the same time first. Of course Alonso was great, he choosed wise when he signed to AM. I think, Vettel could be a little bit sad for now, but that's life.

Honestly, for me it seems too close to call who will be on the podium tomorrow, but I think we will have a quite interesting race :)
