Thoughts?

Personally I think it's terrible. It looks like the CSS hasn't been applied. Certainly doesn't suggest "luxury". The choice of font is baffling. Helvetica Now?

Not a great move imo.

agree, it is rubbish and actually keeps crashing on mobile phone browsers due to their silly update with the watch configuration tool. It is resource heavy and lagging!

I agree- there's a bunch of sloppy mistakes too. I'm sure it will be updated in due time but it's like "c'mon guys this day didnt come as a surprise"!

This is awful. Low-grade computer generated images of new models looks cheap but the absolute worst is the new configurator. Won't let you go back a single step! Have to start over completely.

Rolex "expert" from rolexmagazine doesn't agree with you :D. Amazing xD.

Rolex's new model launches at Watches And Wonders 2023 has been pretty amazing! But there is another magnificent gem hiding in plain sight, and that is the all-new Rolex.com website, which is an absolute masterpiece of design simplicity. Rolex.com has ALWAYS been one of the great websites, but this brand-spanking new model is a true work of art!!!!!

The screen grab pictured above is from the all-new Rolex.com, and the newly designed header below is a magnificent exercise in simplicity, making it amazingly simple to instantly navigate to anything in the world of Rolex!!!—almost like an iPhone in the sense you instantly know how to find everything right away, —with zero learning curve. I would go so far as to say it's more Rolexy than ever...including that beautiful new green gradient header with the gold Rolex logo. Don't take my word for it: Head over to the new Rolex.com and see for yourself!!!

He can stick to journalism, I'll stick to Web UX.

The site is a travesty.

Seems like there is a big defect in it. When I try to increase the size of an image, I get kicked out of it. At least that is the case on my iPhone. I haven’t tried it yet on my PC.

Hate it. I’ve started to figure out some ways to make it flow more smoothly when trying to do certain things, but it’s terrible. Maybe with a few updates it’ll be more fluid.

Yes the configurator will take some “getting used to the new” (which is designer speak for oops). UAT is opaque if you don’t train them well on the legacy site beforehand.

It is crashing for the 1908 on my iPhone than the old one did for a Cellini (its forebear).

Update, looks like the latter may have been fixed.
