Thanks for sharing. I sure spent a lot of my childhood in the Tower Records on Sunset.

But... not my favorite music store. The Virgin Megastore on the Champs Elysees in Paris was amazing. It was always a magical experience going in there and finding obscure, live performances of your favorite artists. The buzzkill was trying to figure out which CDs to buy with my limited $$$

Good read. Reminds of the 70s and early 80s and all the time we spent hanging out at the local record store and how much fun we had. Then arcades and malls came along and that was the end of that.

Tower Record was an oasis for me while coming of age in the 70's. Whenever an artist that I liked came out with a new record, I couldn't wait to get to Tower and buy it.
