Soft top car cleaner/ protector
One for the car crowd
Used this soft top cleaner/ treatment & to say disappointed would be an understatement Soaked roof before use/ really got at it with the cleaner/ applicator/ applied the protector spray while still slightly damp. It looks worse than when I started. Was done about 5 months ago so not as if totally green with algae. Roof is 4 years old. Any recommendations? I’ve still got 1/2 the bottles so will give another go next weekend Guy I work with said he uses shoe Polish on his wife’s but not so sure on that Rather do it myself but if can’t get it looking perfect/ might put it in somewhere Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

When I had the drop-top Bentley this provided the best results.
303 Convertible Fabric Top Cleaning and Care Kit I used a horsehair brush and the Cleaner to clean the top. Normal stuff. The real 'trick' is using 303 Fabric Guard for best results. I used a sponge brush to apply it, allowing juuuust enough liquid to soak into the top's weaving. Start at the highest point and work your way down to the edges. Let dry. Water will easily bead and roll off the top like the best wax job does to paint. PS: Don't let Fabric Guard on the body paint.

When I had my Boxster I used the Autoglym products you are using. Just don't get the protection spray on the bodywork, its very difficut to get off. Quite a few people were using Fabsil although I never tried it.

The best thing I've ever used was a Renovo cleaner and sealant/restorer , look it up online , not only it protect the roof completely but also restores it so it literally looks bee again

For my C-class I use Raggtop products, very easy to work with.
Before that I used Gyeon but that’s real rubbish.

Following as I'm about to have to reseal my 330. Although cleaning it with soapy water has kept the algae at bay the past few years

I'll 2nd Steve's 303 recommendation. I used it when I had my S2000 and the top looked like new.
