Subscribed to this thread!!!

I like just about everything when it comes to liquor. Just as a guy who likes to try everything during my short time on this rock!

Currently I’m loving a Macallen 12, I just finished a Woodford Double Oak which was gifted to me and I hadn’t actually heard of it, it was an immediate top 10 favorite then I realized I was way behind in that knowledge. Either way, SO GOOD! Knob Creek had been my go to bourbon for a while but I’m branching out and finding I like other things more that don’t cost much more.

I’ve got a bottle of Blantons I haven’t opened yet and I’m picking up an Eagle Rare on Monday. Excited to try them!!! I also have a hookup for a Pappys 15 but won’t have it until fall. All at retail, I won’t pay over when there’s so many other options out there!

I’ve seen a few Obans in the thread, I’m a huge fan!!! Their smokiness is unparalleled in my experience so far.

I like tequila and gin a lot as well. Recently I the Hornitos Black Barrel which I enjoyed very much! And, in general, I prefer Repesado or Anejos over silvers.

For gin I prefer Hendricks but I’ve only just scratched the surface there.

Please feel free to share recommendations from your more seasoned tastes!!!

Neck pour yesterday - wow. Easily top 3 bourbons I’ve ever tried, certainly over a 9/10 if I’m rating it. The rye notes are prominent, but this is still cleanly in bourbon territory. Perfect for my tastes at least.

The Pappy 15 is the best I've ever tasted. The 20 has a mld spice note, which is fine but I prefer the 15.

That seems to be the consensus among those I’ve talked to :)

I’m just crossing my fingers my guy comes through. I missed on the Eagle Rare but I’ll have my Blantons on Saturday. I grabbed a woodford store pick that is quite good!

I used the love the OG batches of Forgiven.

Turkey makes amazing stuff from just a handful of Mash Bills.

Those into gin , try the Japanese Roku...easily one of my stables in my home bar....makes a mean martini as well. For me, currently finishing JW Green Label that my father in-law gifted me some weeks ago.

Absolutely. While I haven’t tried the original Forgiven, I love the Russell’s barrel picks, and have tried the 13yr and several MKs, but something about this unforgotten was just divine. Highly recommend if you come across one.
