I like them. I have only see two in person in over 30 years of collecting. Very unique.

Got it. The crown is WG as well or YG? Looks like
a “regular” 18239 with the Tridor bracelet (love the look !)

The crown is WG like the bezel. It's an 18039bic ... single quickset.

I think the watches posted by Benzsiam and RaZCaL are Pearlmasters not Tridors.
The WG centre of the bracelet looks blue because of the colours flanking it. Ie it is an optical illusion.
I love the Tridor and bought one in 2016, they have since more than doubled in price.

You are correct. They’re from the masterpiece pearlmaster collection with the tridor yellow, white and everose bracelet. They were not popular so was discontinued.

Thanks. The dial is a newer baton instead of sticks one available at the end of the Tridor run (around 2000) and common on 6-digit references too.

Tridor

Tri = three, dor = d’or or of gold

I’m sure when introduced, it was a reaction to the popularity of Cartier’s trinity jewlery with the three gold cokes.

Rolex Tridor models w white dial are the best version.

Misunderstood certainly…
Only as good as the technology of that era.

If reimagined now, Rolex would likely do it differently - more distinctly.

I'm not a fan for personal use - as in I don't like the three metals together in that way from a color combination perspective - and that would keep me from wearing it (as would acquisition cost, lol).

That said, I think it's a work of art how the metals are combined and fused like that. It's something I really appreciate and admire from an engineering perspective. In fact, for a vintage DD I'd love to have that watch head on a leather strap.

Two other things I like about it:

It's probably so hard to do that that people will just assume it's fake/painted and therefore it's got a certain subtlety to it. I also love the all-matte finish on the bracelet and lug surface.

Although the golden strips (RG-YG-WG-YG-RG) on the massive links technically are well defined, in extreme lighting situations it's sometimes difficult to spot the difference between RG and YG with the naked eye, the more so as many models had a "sloppy" polish with the result that the bracelet lacks definition. I have also seen examples where some kind of oxidation happened to the YG portion of the bracelet resulting in being darker than the RG. Also the WG in the center of the bracelet has a blueish color.

The Tridor has an eccentric feel. It was sold originally at a much higher price point than a regular DD even though the demand was low. It has gotten something like an acquired taste for watch connoisseurs

I like this Tridor because of the newer service dial, hands, date and day wheel. The older dials the Tridor was available in are / were mostly drab and kind ruin the watch for me. The dial makes this one.
