Again, we are here to help eliminate fakes and frauds, not collect Ebay's fees.

I don't think anybody here really cares about eBay's fees...... Instead, this falls under the umbrella of keeping eBay a safe place for watch transactions. Deals outside of eBay are not safe (aka 'watchout') and bypass eBay's systems of security. |

I don't think deals INSIDE of ebay are safe. Good luck trying to get some money out of Paypal if a fake watch shows up at your door. They got their fees, so they are happy.

BUT they have made significant improvements over the years.... (I have been on eBay since 1999). I remember when it was impossible to contact paypal when there was a problem (and I had a problem back then). Recently, paypal helped me out in a deal going down hill that I thankfully paid with paypal. I almost lost 2k. There are other members here who have had luck getting refunds through Paypal when a fake or 'significantly not as described' watch arrived at their door. So, all in all there is some degree of security in following eBay's rules. |

insurance and bonds, say no all you want but it's one way of
stopping illegal activity. why do we put locks on our gates, when you could just climb the fence? because it takes a certain amount of effort, but the die hard scammer, there coming over. the fence just slows them down. the good news is, that if you catch them inside>>>hmm! |
