16610 Box?

Hey guys I googled and searched this forum but am getting mixed answers.

TLDR - does anyone know definitively the box reference for 2002 Y serial 16610 submariner?

——

New owner of a 2002 Y serial 16610 - plan for it to be a forever watch and it’s currently at RSC. I would like to have as complete set that I can and was trying to find the proper box/paperwork set (obviously can’t get the original warranty paper).

Does anyone know an authoritative source of where to find this info, or does anyone know definitively?

Thank you!

Boxes are matched by AD’s when the watches are sold, so there may be various period
Correct boxes for a 2002 16610. My S serial 16610 came on this would box when I purchased it new back on Jan 1995:

Thanks guys. I saw a set on eBay but wasn’t sure if it was the right “version” it sounds like Rolex wasn’t as particular with their packaging back then as they are now and now I’m questioning how much more value that stuff provides compared to just the RSC card.

This would be right for your Sub, if the calendar card and print dates on the booklets matched.

They’re not particular now they just give you whatever size they feel like pulling out.

Have to agree at one time you got whatever box the AD had on his shelf at point of sale most all SS watches came in the small boxes. But now SS watches come in the medium size boxes, but watches like the DSSD might come in a larger box.Lets be honest the Rolex box is not the best in the watch world today its just a green packaging box nothing more. The boxes are made in several parts of the world,so even box reference numbers will vary world wide.

You're welcome. The label on the box was obviously the model number and the round sticker next to it indicated the dial colour.
