Did you put on the Daytona ?

If you’ve worn the 116500, how did the 126500 compare, in size and look on the wrist ?

That OP could easily double as a $100 SWATCH

I love the bubbles OP. Seems whimsical and beyond what I thought Rolex would ever produce. Would definitely be a watch that would be way down on my purchase list though.

Holding out for a Sky Dweller, which likely will never happen, but I can dream right?

Interesting: For the past two years, I don't recall display-only versions of any of the most sought after pieces/configurations (no steel Daytona, no BLRO, no turquoise OP). However this year it seems as though the "it" watches are making the exhibition rounds.

Sorry guys for the delayed reply. Yes it is in Toronto. It was by invitation only.I was surprised to be invited since I do not have long term relations. There were more on display but couldn’t take many pictures as the Rolex section was small and crowded.Rolex people were there. Most of the watches I think is locked or had no movements.i don’t know. The DAYTONA was running and they told me they wanted people to see the open case.one think I learned was the celebration dials or extremely difficult to produce. If you see the watch closely there is a black outer rounds on each colour which according to them is the most difficult part.

Ah, now that makes sense! A “road show” doesn’t require nearly as many pieces devoted to exhibition.

All those watches have dummy movements. You can tell because they are all set to the same exact 10:10 and 31 sec.

Could you place an order? The last event I was invited to (a couple years ago) they were accepting orders.

Thanks for posting, especially like seeing those 126500s. After staring at 116520s and 116500 all day long, the new daytonas look so different with the ring, markers and hands. The dials of the 126500s look "fuller" in white and black colors.

Cool! I like the daydate with the jigsaw pieces. Recently found it was only in 36mm though which is a shame!

From your photo it would be hard to spot the old vs the new Daytona. Maybe the difference is more dramatic in person?
