The Thilas in Maldives particularly in the South Ari Atoll are some of our favorite dive spots. Best when the currents are the strongest for the best visibility and marine life action.

My lovely wife who I am so proud of exploring her first wreck. We even came back that night to check off her night dive.

Navigating the narrows in Kuda Rah

Being silly during decompression

Besides Maldives, some of my other favorite locations include Fiji, Raja Empat and Cozumel.

Would love to go to Sharm El Shiekh where Peter has been to see the last bastion of coral reefs.

I wish I had the motivation to get back into it. I too got certified in the mid 80's. I worked my way up to Master Diver and then Dive Master through PADI. (for the non-divers, those sound the same, but one is recreational diving the other is professional). My last years of diving were in the late 90's on a Sheriff's Office underwater recovery team. I haven't dove since. There isn't an experience in the world that compares to grabbing a bloated body in zero visibility water and not seeing it until you surface. Not gonna lie, my first one startled me and I dropped it....the search began again

Recreationally, Grand Cayman was my favorite (in the 80's, before tourism really hit). My family did a live aboard dive boat vacation annually for a while.

Thanks, Stephen!

Yes, we've had some great adventures together and this was one of the best.

4. Not anymore
5. Exploring old car wrecks in Curacao together with turtles and barracuda’s.
6. Steep drop off dive and at -41m, removing air bottle to enter a very narrow tunnel going up again.
I got a bit scared and had to use all my will power to stay cool, used lots of air and was very glad I had a more experienced buddy with me..

scariest thing I can imagine. wow. I am scared thinking about it.
