I feel like Austin is always pretty boring. Hopefully the rain helps mix it up

It seems rather de rigueur at this point. Red Bull & Max have crossed their T’s and dotted their I’s thus far.

I think he has it perfect. I just think the whole think has become an anti climax. When the outcome is so obvious, it becomes no fun.

Agree, hand the title to Red Bull, and let's retire their cars for the remainder of the season. This way the paying viewing audience may enjoy entertaining racing for the remainder of the season.

----------

As a side note Paul, my college-age family member had a lot to say about F1 this past week. Haven't seen 'em in months, and so at this week's family gtg it was mainly F1 gossip and who did what to whom. So to be fair the new media ownership is doing a great job at Soap Opear-like storylines, and yes this has helped bring on more youthful viewership. Maybe RM can up their sponsorship $$$ too ;-)

I remember it being the same with Schumacher winning all the time, or Hamilton. Nothing new.

Ahhh, the Liberty Media & DTS affect on F1. F1 has evolved from highly political theater where a race may or may not break out on occasion, to a soap opera.

Ryan Reynolds and his investor group just purchased a 24% stake in the Alpine F1 team bringing the valuation of that team to nearly 1 billion. It's no wonder some of the team principals and Dominicali didn't want to have the Andretti Racing Group come in for $200m or even $600m buy in. But I digress as this may also be characterized as soap opera-ish.

Hooooooo oooooooh ooooooooooh is my natural reaction to that. Sure there are days on track so EPIC it defies description.

And then there are other days... when you go from winning a key race to the sudden sound of 'metal marbles in a blender' from the LD200 gearbox.

Oh, it's highly addictive, very expensive... and you're always chasing that next rush.

But ya know what, seriously, go for it. Make every lap second count

Ah yes. The smell of burning race gas with a hint of oil in the morning. It smells like... victory :)

Perhaps they’re referring to Big Red’s engine failures last season… I am in no way shape or form a Ferrari fan boy, but I find their troubles to be a bit disheartening
