Icon19 New Speedy '57... Favorite Dial Color?

I'm considering picking up a speedy '57 to compliment my 321 ed white.

I'm about 50/50 between the blue and burgundy dial.

What's your favorite dial color?

Hi Jim, have you seen them in person?

I saw them about a month ago at the boutique, and honestly, I was a bit underwhelmed. I’m not sure whether it was the lighting or what, but the colors looked muted and the bezel hard to read.

I was pretty disappointed, as they all look great in photos.

I have not! My AD doesn't have any in but mentioned they can order any color.

That's a shame to hear. They do look great in pics.

Well it’s probably a “seeing is believing” kind of thing. You might have a completely different perspective.

Going by pictures I would have preferred the green dial.

Best of luck with your decision

I liked them but didn’t pull the trigger. My favourite was burgundy but I have to say I think I preferred the blue when I tried them on. The burgundy is a matte colour. That’s probably why I didn’t buy because I was undecided on the colour.
Bracelet is very nice.

They're all stunning! I'm a fan of the black, blue, and green. However, my vote went for the Green.

Green. It’s stunning in person. But honestly all the colors looked great to me.

The bracelets on all the new ‘57s is outstanding.

They all look nice but I voted black as I would wear that more than any of the other colors.

Pretty dull colours! I tried them all on and the black sandwich dial was the best by a mile! All lovely watches though!
Good luck with your choice and don't forget the pics!

I like green the most with blue being a close second.

Hoping to add one to my collection soon...

Black with sandwich dial vintage vibe is the way to go.
Had older ver but gave it to my father in law as gift since it was too thick for me.
The new ver is thinner , always looking for it.

The green dial looked so muted in person unless it was hit directly by the store bright lights. Why commit to make a green dial if you don't want to display the color in the first place? I haven't seen the blue but I would not be surprised if it was the same. The red is interesting but it is not a daily wear as it is not a versatile color. The black sandwich is my 2nd favorite after the red but there is an automatic earlier generation that looks almost the same, I don't think it will be very collectible in the future unfortunately. You already see them going for 60 cents on the dollar only a year after the release, not a good look at all especially after two price increases while the inventory at AD was almost non existent.

I was certainly more enthusiast about the release than when I saw them in the metal, the bracelet also is very dainty and there are a lot of polished surfaces. And the micro adjust clasp is just pathetic, may as well just not put it in the first place and save yourself the effort Omega. These Speedmaster 57 were certainly not worth the wait, especially with the price gouging that took place while waiting.

I really liked these when they were released. Had a chance to try them all on when I was at the Omega Museum and Boutique. The issue I have is with Omega’s with dates combined with a movement that has the time zone function as opposed to a quick set date. In my opinion, if the watch has a date it should have a quick set function. Might seem like a minor thing, but it’s a dealbreaker for me.
