I was told to get lost by the gate guard at the Rolex AD in Galeries Lafayette Haussmann. I didn't leave and as I was wearing a Rolex at the time, a manager walked over, invited my wife and I inside and gave the stupid guard a correction...This was last November 2022.

I tried on an exhibit Daytona that I did not think i'd like, just to see the size of it on my wrist. And of course I fell in love with it and now must have one. Try on at your own risk lol

I actually had luck acquiring a new Rolex at an AD in Paris back in June of this year. I walked in, asked if they had any Sky-Dwellers, was told they were exhibition only or reserved for another customer. I still asked to try one on anyway. Had a bit of a chat with the associate who was very friendly, long story short he offered it to me and I purchased it. Also had luck acquiring a Datejust in Monaco much earlier in the year.
I was in Italy - specifically Venice and Rome last month and it was a much different story there. If in Italy, don't bother spending precious vacation time visiting ADs (I visited a lot of them) unless you just want to try on watches. Focus on enjoying your vacation.

It was Arije across from the Four Seasons George V. I got the TT Sky-dweller with a jubilee bracelet and white dial. Not the exact configuration I was looking for but I thought it looked great on my wrist.

Opted out of AD and climbed some Spanish steps instead.

Congrats anyhow, never easy to score as a walk-in let alone as a tourist.

Was it the Arije Rolex boutique or the multibrand store?
