1665 Mk 0 Sea Dweller.
Hello,
Just wondering if it is now widely accepted that there are some Mk0 dials in the 4.x mill serial range? Seems that this watch from a UK dealer has one and another French collector seems to have found a few. https://thewatchcollector.co.uk/coll...-mk0-prototype https://watchmywatch.fr/2023/06/01/r...oure-a-genius/ However the drsd website says that they only started at 5.0-5.2mill. https://www.drsd.com/watch-info/whit...eadweller.html |

Watchcollector: The hands ‘might have been replaced’. So could the dial! Either way beautiful watch.

Legit or not, the problem is the widespread perception that those four GW SDs are about 1 million serial numbers away from the accepted range for MK0s. So, there will always be doubt ... unless a lot more show up.
It's certainly possible that a few late DRSDs had their dials switched at some point in their lives to the first GW dial variants .... or not. Also, the blog entry describing the watches doesn't put forth a strong argument, IMHO. |

Seller saying, 1665 MK0 “prototype”, is misleading with the thin provenance methinks.
