Frank Borman’s Rolex Datejust

Anyone have any idea about this watch? Belonging to one man who has always fascinated me- Apollo 8 Astronaut Frank Borman.

You can see it on his wrist on some photos online but none are super clear. There’s also a video of him flying his P63, in which the watch can be spotted around the 3:50 mark but again it’s not a clear view.


It’s definitely some kind of Datejust. Not sure about the exact model. Probably a 1601 considering the era… maybe in Rose gold with a white dial?
