Rolex Oyster (1930's)?

Hello, all....

A friend discovered this Oyster in the effects of a deceased relative and he is hoping to obtain further information about it.

I am hoping that the more knowledgeable among you will help.

I thank you in advance.

Bob.

There are a couple of things that need a bit more explanation:

- the case is not the normal Oyster case from the 1930s or 1940s

- the winding crown seems to be very large for the case size

It would be helpful to have more information about this watch, such as what size is it, does it have a screwed case back, does the winding crown screw down, are there any model or serial numbers on the outside of the case back, are there any markings between the lugs, etc.

Detailed photos of the sides of the case, the winding crown, the case back (inside and outside) and the movement would also be helpful in identifying what this is or what has been used for the assembly or repairs.
