Saw A Great Concert Last Night

Took my 11 year old and wife to see Green Day in Atlanta last night. I must say, it was one of the best rock/punk shows I have ever seen. The were tight and played for 3 hours with a nice mix of the new and old. Awesome participation with the audience. 5 out of 5 stars. I have liked them for 10 plus years but never seen them live. I was a big fan of the punk music scene when living in Washington DC as a teen.

Opening act was the Kaiser Chief's. Have heard a little bit of them on satellite, they were pretty good. From the UK i think.

On another note, Bruce Springsteen is coming to town. Got tix yesterday. Never seen him either.

Glad you enjoyed it. I think they've gotten better over the years.

Saw Bruce earlier this year in DC. For a 50+ year old guy, he sure can still belt them out. They guy is in great physical shape which is necessary to carry on an almost 3 hour concert. He played a good mix of his new stuff and his older classics. He is a living legend of American music. Highly recommend everyone see him at least once.

My only complaint about the show was the God awful sound quality at the Verizon center. If they had turned the volume down from 15 to 10, it would have sounded 100x better and been much more enjoyable. I think they had someone left over from the Metalica show the night before running the sound board.

I will see him again, but never at the Verizon center again.
