No, it wasn't replaced during the service. Wondered about damage as the second hand was shaking as I wound the watch and gave a few shakes to try to get it going.

Well, I got the watch back overnight with no extra charge. 6-day turnaround which includes the weekend. Seems fine now. But is it normal for a new mainspring to be a bit tight when winding?

790 Dollars for a 1570/5 service is not, shall we say, 'cash-territory' - the usual reason watchmakers don't give invoices.

I'd have expected to have an itinerary of what wellness retreat the watch was put up at, and which candles and oils were used, when the watch was with them !

Nice Cappuccino btw.

Tight winding can be due to many things.

Well, being that the mainspring was replaced, would you think that was it? Or what else would it be that Swiss Watch Expo could have missed or done wrong to cause it?

I don't know what you consider to be tight winding. It might not be a problem or anything that was done wrong.

What I mean by tight winding is that as you get to 30 turns you can definitely feel a good amount of tension building. This I hadn't felt since I've owned the watch.
